Together for Our People

At Schréder, we are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive and equitable culture and to creating stable and reliable relationships with suppliers based on shared values. Our principles are enforced in our Code of Conduct, which was revised and enriched in 2022.
Our Together for Our People strategy focuses on 2 main axes - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Sustainable Procurement and Human Rights - with the goal of contributing positively to the UN SDGs 4, 5, 8 and 16.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
At Schréder, we are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive and equitable culture. We aim for the highest standards of fairness and equal opportunities for all employees at all stages of their career.

The diversity of staff, in all its forms (skills, experience, age, gender, culture...), is a source of renewal, innovation and creativity. As part of our vision to create a more equitable and fairer workplace, we have set targeted actions in our Manifesto for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
In line with the UN’s goals, we decided to focus our effort first on gender diversity and equality as this is still an on-going concern in society as a whole. 27% of Schréder employees are women with only 13% in leadership or managerial positions. This is lower than in 2020 when we launched our strategy. This is why we have decided to take additional measures and commit to ensuring that at least 40% of all new recruitments are women by 2025 to create a more diverse pool of employees. By 2030, we aim to increase the proportion of women in Leadership and other Managerial positions to 20%.

Sustainable Procurement and Human Rights
We play an active role in the communities in which we operate by doing business ethically: we expect the same from our suppliers.

Our goal is to protect Human Rights directly and indirectly by ensuring that Schréder’s entities and their supply chain are safe and that workers are treated with respect and dignity. In 2020, we adopted the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct as our Human Rights standard and required all our Group suppliers to confirm their adherence and compliance with this standard. At the end of 2022, suppliers representing 97% of our total supply chain value had confirmed adherence to the RBA Code or similar standards. At the end of 2022, we launched the Schréder Suppliers Code of Conduct at the end of 2022. It defines the social and environmental performance requirements for all Schréder suppliers. We also developed a Sustainability Risk Assessment methodology, which describes the due diligence process that we will use to assess our suppliers in relation to the expected sustainability standards. This due diligence process will include targeted audits to ensure that the sustainability requirements are properly met. Our goal is to gradually roll out this risk assessment methodology so that by 2030, all Group suppliers will have been assessed against both our human rights and environmental standards. |

Training & Education
To support the growth and development of our employees, Schréder offers a range of internal and external training opportunities. These programmes are designed to meet the specific needs and objectives of individuals, groups and departments, whether it be for languages, IT skills or fork-lift truck driving.
In 2022, approximately 1,169 training sessions were conducted in 27 countries, over a wide range of topics.
We also launched GoodHabitz, an online learning platform that provides a wide range of courses and training programmes for individuals and organisations, to support the development of our employees in 2022. Our goal is to train 90% of eligible employees on a variety of engaging topics such as management and leadership, personal development, communication, and more.
